hi there! welcome back again. today my inner freethinker notified me and in middle of my very very boring french lesson i just wanted to get my stuff and catch up a plane to wherever. and because of my big wanderlust i had lust (what means in german -if you don’t know-: desire or when i google it, it also means lust. funny) to tell you where i’ve been travelling to in my 15 years on earth. i want to show you some impression from there and just tell you what i liked the most. i don’t have so much to show or tell but who doesn’t like travelling? i like it so much that i just had to blog about it. and just to say: i’m very thankful that i’m able to go by plane and even to visit other countries. i know it’s not naturally that i can travel and have fun that -sadly- also costs some money. so thank you mum and dad that i’m able to visit great places on this world.
well at the beginning i just want to mention that i have never left europe, all the countries that i went to are in europe 🌍.
my first holiday destination was spain 🇪🇸 in i guess 2009. the city where we went is called Almeria and at the first view it really looks like a desert. when we drove to our cute little hotel with like five bungalows i thought we were in no man’s land! there were no people, no cars, no house and no animal far and wide the first like 30 kilometers! well for me it wasn’t that great…
but as i already said the hotel was pretty and the owners were very friendly even they couldn’t speak english or something we could understand…
the landscape there was so beautiful and you could find many retired and lonely beaches where you could literally swim on your own! sadly i can’t remember the name of the hotel but just google the city and you’ll find amazing places and hotels where you can go! and just to warn you: on our last day on beach, a very toxic jellyfish swam over my shoulder. it burned so bad! so if you go into the sea watch out for unfriendly sea dweller!
the second trip that was recorded in my pictured logbook was berlin 🇩🇪, germanys capital city. i think it was in 2011 or something like that and we made a weekend trip just to see all the famous monuments.
so berlin is a really nice hipster city in germany. the people there are sometimes a bit too friendly but i just love the dialect that they speak there. i don’t understand a word, and that has something to say because my mother tongue is german. i really enjoyed the boat tour on the river called Spree where you can see many special and famous buildings or places and it’s just the feeling on the water i really liked.
the so called Mahnmal is another monument that has a sad history behind it. i think everyone had heard of the National Socialism that was in germany round 1919 and where many jewish people died because of the terrible dictatorship (what makes me personally so freaking angry i can’t tell!). but even there’s a horrible story, i think it’s also important to visit something like that because history and culture that you can see there can teach you some things for life i think. but all in all i really liked berlin and it’s so worth it -when you’re around there- to visit it!
then i went several times to italy 🇮🇹. first of all i just want to say how fucking delicious italian food is!? 🍴i mean pasta, lasagne, canelloni, tortellini, pizza… it’s really my favourite kitchen! and to improve the trip to italy i now study since three years italian in school! Mamma mia, che amo questo paese! (lord i pray that i made no mistake! 🙌🏼) it’s a perfect destination for me: you have the sea, nice cities to visit, great food and an amazing landscape! now, i already went to Calabria in the south, to Milano, to Genova and to my favourite city Roma (also some little unknown cities).
that was just a little selection of places i went to the last like 6 years. it’s so pretty isn’t it?!
and then the last thing i have to mention is austria 🇦🇹! it’s like my second home. we go there for about 15 years, so my entire life, and i could say that i feel already homelike there. the landscape with the mountains and these little traditional styled houses are just so cute and great and that the feeling there is so comfortable to me!
for me austria is the country of hiking (what i don’t really like) and fun sport activities🎿🏂. and the people there are so friendly with their great österreicher dialect! and if you can manage to go there, visit also vienna a beautiful city and make sure to go and enjoy the view on the top of a mountain!
i really hope you liked my little travel diary and that you got some suggestions and inspiration of my post so you can plan your next holiday trip in one of these countries when you are able to visit europe. please comment me where you’ve already been and if you liked my post. and if you want to know more about the places i went just comment that too.
lots of love lea💖
